As a volunteer in the Childcare Volunteer program in government daycare centers in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children by engaging in various activities such as:

Assisting with the daily routine of the children, including feeding, changing, and playing with them.

Shared room: The international volunteer will stay in sharing room, which will be clean and comfortable. The room may have a bed, a table, a chair, and a closet or a cupboard.

Shared bathroom: The volunteer will have access to a shared bathroom, which will have basic amenities such as a shower, a toilet, and a sink. The bathroom will be clean and hygienic.

Wi-Fi: The host family will provide the volunteer with Wi-Fi access so that they can stay connected with their family and friends back home.

Meals: The host family will provide the volunteer with three meals a day, which will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The meals will be nutritious and will include local cuisine.

Laundry: The host family will allow the volunteer to do their laundry, and will provide them with clean bedding and towels.

Services included: Pick-up from Gaggal Kangra airport, All meals, Orientation about the project, Local SIM, Free WiFi, Project placement, Emergency assistance, and Drop at the airport after finishing the project.

Cultural workshops: You will be a part of free cultural workshops like Yoga, Hindi language, Himalayan cooking, Himalayan dress workshop etc.

Services not included: Flights to India, Visa, Vaccinations, Insurance, Daily local transportation to the project, and all other personal expenses and weekend trips.

Eligibility for applying as a volunteer traveler

1. Minimum age

The minimum age to apply for a volunteer project is 18 years.

2. Minor Participants (If you are below 18 years)

In case you are a minor and would like to create an impact on the global communities, we need to receive a "No Objection Certificate" signed by your parents. (Please send the NOC through an email after submitting the application form, in case you are a minor.) Click here to Download NOC

3. Guarantee of Participation

Submitting an application form does not guarantee your selection and participation in the project.

4. Program fee

The volunteer programs attract a participation fee that is called as "Program fee". The program fee covers the following services to the volunteer to make the trip more comfortable, meaningful, and reliable.

Costs of organizing the trip: There are costs associated with organizing and coordinating a volunteer trip, including arranging accommodations, transportation, and meals. These costs may be passed on to volunteers in the form of a fee.

Support and resources: Volunteers may receive support and resources from the organization hosting the volunteer trip, such as training, orientation, and access to local staff. These resources may require additional funding that is covered by the fee.

Sustainability and impact: Many volunteer organizations work towards long-term sustainable development goals and have a lasting impact on the communities they serve. To ensure that the organization's efforts are sustainable and impactful, funds may be required to support ongoing initiatives.

Local community benefits: The fee may be used to directly benefit the local community where volunteers are serving. This can include funding for community development projects, supporting local businesses, and hiring local staff.

3. The volunteers have to follow the code of conduct in the destination country and projects.

4. The local team is responsible for the management of pick-ups, housing, weekend excursions, safety, and well-being of the volunteers, we encourage the trust-building between the volunteers and the local management.

5. You will be working as a representative of your own country and we would highly appreciate it if you leave a very positive impact on the community you work with.
