Welcome to our Teaching Volunteer Program in Kathmandu, Nepal, where we invite international volunteers to join us in providing education, extra-curriculum activities, games, and more to the children in our community.

Our program aims to promote education and learning among the children and youth of Kathmandu, Nepal, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalized communities. We believe that education is a powerful tool that can help break the cycle of poverty and create a better future for children.

As a teaching volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work with local teachers and staff to support and assist in daily classes, as well as plan and implement educational activities and games for the students. You will also have the chance to share your skills and knowledge with local teachers and students, fostering cross-cultural exchange and learning.

As a Teaching Volunteer in Kathmandu, you can engage in a variety of activities aimed at improving the educational experience of students. Here are some examples:

Lodging & Boarding during the project:

As a volunteer in our Monk Teaching Volunteer Project in Kathmandu, Nepal, you'll have the unique opportunity to live and work in a local monastery. The monastery will provide you with accommodation and meals during your stay.

The accommodation is basic, with shared rooms and bathroom facilities. However, it is clean and comfortable and provides an authentic cultural experience. You'll have the opportunity to live among the monks and experience their way of life firsthand.

The meals provided will be vegetarian and will consist of traditional Nepalese cuisine. Volunteers will also have access to clean drinking water and other basic amenities. Eligibility for applying as a volunteer traveler

1. Minimum age

The minimum age to apply for a volunteer project is 18 years.

2. Minor Participants (If you are below 18 years)

In case you are a minor and would like to create an impact on the global communities, we need to receive a "No Objection Certificate" signed by your parents. (Please send the NOC through an email after submitting the application form, in case you are a minor.) Click here to Download NOC

3. Guarantee of Participation

Submitting an application form does not guarantee your selection and participation in the project.

4. Program fee

The volunteer programs attract a participation fee that is called as "Program fee". The program fee covers the following services to the volunteer to make the trip more comfortable, meaningful, and reliable.

Costs of organizing the trip: There are costs associated with organizing and coordinating a volunteer trip, including arranging accommodations, transportation, and meals. These costs may be passed on to volunteers in the form of a fee.

Support and resources: Volunteers may receive support and resources from the organization hosting the volunteer trip, such as training, orientation, and access to local staff. These resources may require additional funding that is covered by the fee.

Sustainability and impact: Many volunteer organizations work towards long-term sustainable development goals and have a lasting impact on the communities they serve. To ensure that the organization's efforts are sustainable and impactful, funds may be required to support ongoing initiatives.

Local community benefits: The fee may be used to directly benefit the local community where volunteers are serving. This can include funding for community development projects, supporting local businesses, and hiring local staff.

3. The volunteers have to follow the code of conduct in the destination country and projects.

4. The local team is responsible for the management of pick-ups, housing, weekend excursions, safety, and well-being of the volunteers, we encourage the trust-building between the volunteers and the local management.

5. You will be working as a representative of your own country and we would highly appreciate it if you leave a very positive impact on the community you work with.
